Therapeutic Approach

Over time, we may become stuck in old habits, patterns, and concerns that no longer serve us, getting in the way of authentic connection with ourselves and others. While it may be hard to imagine now, periods of crisis or transition can provide unique opportunities for positive change. My role as a therapist is to encourage your process of exploration, providing appropriate reflection and guidance along the way.

My goal is to provide an environment where you can comfortably share your concerns and receive understanding and support. Starting from a positive, strength-based perspective, I pull from cognitive-behavioral (CBT, DBT, ACT), mindfulness, family, and narrative therapies as needed. Since therapy isn’t “one size fits all,” we’ll create a plan specifically for you. In our initial sessions, I gather relevant historical information and help you identify therapeutic goals. Our collaboration then focuses on reducing distress, building positive coping strategies, and incorporating new knowledge and understanding as the process unfolds. I value open communication and welcome your feedback at any point in our work together.

During my years of practice, I’ve helped many clients process difficult or transitional moments and increase self-understanding. Together, we’ll get you back on track, increase your confidence, and build resiliency for the future.
